Instant mix, yet authentic taste

The Thuthuvalai Rasam mix is also an instant mix, prepared using the age-old recipe, followed in our kitchens. The mix includes premium quality ingredients starting from the garden-fresh Thuthuvalai leaves which are powdered. Also, the species used in the mix packs the mix with benefits that turn out to taste authentic, because we deliver this homemade mix, to cherish the tradition!

The medicinal herb- Thuthuvalai

Thuthuvalai is a medicinal herb, whose leaves are used in the preparation of various dishes. Thorny in nature, these are also grown in kitchen gardens in the household, which is used to make the Rasam. The plant has also got tiny flowers, purple, and falls into the category of creepers.

Rasam to Soup

The instant mix can be served in two forms- a normal Rasam and also as a soup. In order to prepare the healthy rasam, all you have to do is add 100 gms of Thuthuvalai Rasam Mix (approximately 1/3 of mix in the bottle) to 1 liter of water and boil it for 7-10 minutes. Stir it well till it reaches the boiling stage with the right consistency and aroma and can be accompanied with rice. Else, boiling the same for longer to arrive in the consistency of a soup is another alternative.

Best with steamed rice

If you are a Rasam lover, then having it with steamed rice, with a gallop of ghee and an Appalam would make it the best, with no regrets, as it comes as a health pack that can cure a cold, indigestion, and cough! To make it look attractive while serving, garnishing these with Coriander leaves can be perfect!

Method of use: Prepare about 10 ml of Tamarind/Tomato extract for preparing 750 ml of Rasam. Heat little oil in Kadai and splutter mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves and red chillies/Garlic (Optional). Now add Tamarind / Tomato extract along with 3 tbsp Ammi Rasam/Soup Mix. Add salt according to your taste. Leave it until it boils for 1 mins and garnish it with curry leaves and coriander leaves. Hot Rasam/Soup is ready.
